The presentation titled "The Natural Approach (NA) in Language Education" is a student project submitted as a course task for our department's "Approaches to English Language Teaching II" class. Shared within our ELT society, this presentation serves as an example of a methodology assignment.
About This Course Task
The assignment required students to select a specific language teaching methodology, explain its core principles, and support their presentation by analyzing related academic articles. This submission divides the task into two sections:
- Explaining the Theory: A breakdown of Krashen's 5 key hypotheses (MANIA), Comprehensible Input (i+1), and the role of the affective filter.
- Article Analysis: A review of academic literature, comparing the Natural Approach to the Audiolingual method using a 2013 study (Tehrani, Barati, & Youhanaee) and exploring NA techniques in a 2024 article (Uzoqova).
